Equivalent to a dissertation, I chose to undertake a practical project to end my degree. My idea was to create a website or online magazine for those in the handmade fashion community as this saw a boom over the pandemic. There was also a gap in the market for a platform that does it all with curated content from Etsy, Instagram and Pinterest and hearing from the makers themselves.
I titled my brand Rejig – fashion by hand, as it means to rearrange, alter or manipulate which I felt was fitting to the work of this community.
